“UNSMIS is not a static mission – it will continually adapt & reconfigure to best serve needs/aspirations of Syrian people, & that is what we are doing now.” I question whether UN Observer Mission in Syria has a mission left in Syria. Comments of Maj-Gen Mood appear more defining a wish rather than a reality as presence of observers in end proved largely irrelevant to conflict & escalating human rights abuses. –More–

Death penalty for former dictator Hosni Mubarek would not have delivered any better future or commitment to rule of law than did  execution of Saddam Hussein or Colonel Gaddafi. Judgment though was delivered by a Court of Law, (something not achieved in person for Tunisia’s Ben-Ali and Yemen’s Saleh) providing a clean cut from past & sound foundation for future. –More–
