In the war against the Taliban both in Pakistan as well as Afghanistan whole communities have been displaced by the fighting. Thousands, more accurately millions, on the Pakistani side of the Khyber Pass have been made refugees. They are now away from their homes, schools, farms & livelihoods for several years, & yet return does not appear particularly likely.  –WATCH–

The UN has highlighted at least part of the problem – many still remain displaced/refugees. Perhaps worse though, is that even those who have new “permanent homes” did not return to the home from which they were “ethnically cleansed,” whether due to fear, lack of support & most critically institutionalized discrimination that not only persists but is further embedded since the Dayton Accords. –More–
